Description
A 10kV distribution line voltage regulator is a device connected in series within a 10kV distribution line that achieves dynamic stabilization of the line voltage by automatically adjusting its own transformation ratio. Comprising a three-phase autotransformer, a three-phase on-load tap changer, and a controller, it is classified into two types: unidirectional and bidirectional voltage regulators. The regulator is capable of automatically adjusting the input voltage within a range of ±20% of the rated voltage. For heavily loaded lines—where substantial loads result in significant line voltage drops—installing a voltage regulator at the midpoint of the line can effectively improve the overall voltage quality of the entire circuit; furthermore, on-load voltage regulation can be implemented as required.
