The panel-type radiator is a critical cooling device specifically designed for oil-immersed power transformers, reactors, and other transformer-type equipment. 【Product Structure & Manufacturing Process】
Panel Structure
Kaiyang panel-type radiators are manufactured by externally welding header pipes and radiator panel units. The radiator panels are roll-formed from high-quality cold-rolled steel sheets and welded into panel units via automated welding lines. The header pipes are precisely punched from seamless steel tubes.
Welding Technology
The header pipes and radiator panels are joined using CO₂-argon mixed gas shielded welding, which effectively eliminates weld slag and metal filings that could compromise the main equipment quality. The panels feature a fully corrugated oil channel design, which expands the heat dissipation area while reducing oil channel clearance.
Precision Assembly
Radiator welding employs an electrically adjusted hydraulic clamping assembly table with dual-side correction combs, ensuring panel diagonal deviation ≤0.5mm and flatness error ≤0.3mm. Panasonic digital inverter MIG welders (80% CO₂ + 20% Ar) deliver weld tensile strength ≥350MPa, with spatter reduction exceeding 40% and uniform, aesthetically pleasing weld seams.
The automatic flange welding machine features dual-side support columns that firmly stabilize the panel-type radiator, precisely ensuring perpendicular accuracy between the header pipes and flange faces, with single-pass weld formation, stable penetration depth, and high welding strength.
Surface Preparation
Through-Type Shot Blasting: Equipped with 14 blast wheels for full 360° surface coverage, removing weld spatter, uniforming surface texture, increasing roughness profile, and simultaneously relieving internal stress.
Automatic Dipping Phosphating: A fully automated immersion cycle processes each radiator through acid pickling, surface conditioning, and phosphating – eliminating microscopic corrosion and forming a dense phosphate conversion coating.
Internal Wall Coating: High-solubility, fast-evaporating solvent flush of ≥5 minutes removes dust and residual oil. Circulation flood coating applies an even paint film at 15–25μm with 120-mesh filtration on both cycles.
External Coating: Flow coating followed by in-line touch-up and continuous drying in a tunnel oven (110–120°C for 40 minutes) ensures full curing of the paint film.
Leak Testing
Full-submersion hydrostatic leak testing at 220kPa – 47% above industry standard – with leak point detection within ≤30 seconds. Repair welding uses Panasonic digital TIG welders with current stability ≤±1A, achieving repair strength matching the original body with no visible weld marks.
